On 4th and 6th of September in Almaty ad Astana USAID/KSBD and USAID/BEI in cooperation with Forum of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan are organizing a series of seminars to discuss with entrepreneurs and GOK public servants alike:
- How to address the challenges of lobbying, and how to describe and interpret lobbying environment and regulations - what’s needed and what to avoid; what is the best practice and what experience must be disseminated in Kazakhstan as the necessary mechanism of public –private dialog in legislative processes (based on the experiences from a transition country - Poland), utilizing sound principles of lobbying campaign (and aspects of coalition building in particular);
- What is the role of the Annual SME Report as policy making tool to senior GOK officials and the business associations and business services providers (BSP);
- How to develop, explain, apply and disseminate policy/regulation assessment tools that would be useful in particular for assessing impacts on businesses and the economy.
The participants are expected to be the representatives of BSP, GOK public servants taking part in the Expert Councils under the Private Entrepreneurship Law and representatives of different ministerial bodies and local government bodies and expert council.
